Ok.. 4:45, at office. Loads of work but absolutely no interest. Thought would write something. So here it goes.....

This is about the book "Tin Fish"!!! Based on the life of 4 students in Mayo College, Sid actually marked this as a must read book and after reading it I second that. This is a must read, because at some stages you can relate yourself with the story. Initially I thought it would be a book about four students and maybe a twist or two to spice it up. But I am glad I actually proved myself wrong after reading it.

Let me get the facts clear. I am no expert in reviewing books, so the comments given by me may seem a bit vague. But how does it matter. So the book begins with a boy being sent to Mayo, a boarding school. Completely away from home, with his new family, his new friends from different places and background. The book also amazes me because of the efficieny of the author to switch back and forth in time. The informal language used is another thing that will keep you engrossed in the book.

The story revolves around this boy's life. How he first adapts in this completely new life, makes friends and shares everything, how each one of them faces a different problem altogether and how they tackle it. Though its hard to resist, I am not giving any details here. Read it to know it.

Ok, enough gyan here and high time i get back to work. Contribute to this blog guys.

PINK DRESS

I had those problems
Of those overnight pills and it kills
Out in the suburb she lived
Capricious was her whole demeanor
Strong was the wind, barraging the rain
And came the time, murdered brutally in her favorite pink dress

Heaven was the place the priest pleaded
Where she went only she knew
Relatives shredding tears of hatred
Thundering sound gave the clouds in the beautiful sky
I saw half her half face through the only ray of light in the coffin
And she lay asleep, buried in her favorite pink dress

It was the 4th of July when I had the first glimpse of her
Matured was she wholly for an 18 year old
The cold hearted self became attracted immediately
Saw her from across the road and she looked lovely
Holding her hand was a guy named Jim she seemed to be in love with
And there she was, wearing her favorite pink dress

I had a past which she listened to and shivered
A “devil” was her perspective of mine I discovered
Coz she compared me with that innocent looking asshole Jim
But had images of her during those long sleepless nights
Which neither she nor Jim could do anything about
And she was, always in my daylight dreams in her favorite pink dress

My past came and thus came my aberrant nature
A dutiful thought came to me and I murdered
Cut Jim’s head with a finesse of a butcher
She cried till the last day of her life
Violent became her actions and dreadful became her life
And here she was, moaning in her favorite pink dress

And came the time to release myself of all pains
Stole a gun from the nearby inspector who was a nice man
Shot 4 bullets right into her head in the middle of autumn
Words of gratitude spoke her actions
Contented was I who again freed humans of this bad world
But I don’t know why she haunts me still, always in her favorite pink dress
